I'm upgrading from XP to 7 as soon as they fix the auto-arrange in folders and I wanted to make sure I could keep all my art programs when I do. I have one called Illuststudio that's exclusively Japanese but I bought and got it installed. Problem now is I can't seem to locate the license for it. How can I keep the program through the upgrade?

Short answer: you can't.

When you install a program, it makes changes to system files that will be wiped out when you reinstall the operating system. Worse, those system files are different between Windows XP and Windows 7.

Would you know how to at least find the license somewhere in my program files?
