Hello, I have a Dell XPS M1530 Laptop and the screen will occasionally go dark on the left half. I have scoured the web and I can't seem to find anyone else with the same problem. Is it time for a new screen, or could It be a connection issue. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Did you try updating your drivers? Does this happen when you are in safe mode? Does this happen when your laptop is plugged into a power source?

I updated the drivers with no success. I never thought of the power source as being the problem, I will test that tonight. Does it also help to mention that it will turn half dark when it posts? It has happened in safe mode as well as normal startup.

Sounds like it has a dual backlight and one of them is about to bite the dust.
