Maximum PC

My wife has decided to get me a new notebook for my birthday, but we have a limit of $500 including service plan. I know this won't get me much, but compared to the two P4 laptops I have, anything will be an improvement. I'm looking to play some games (I know they won't be great, but I'm speccing out a gaming build of my own) and other than that just do basic stuff on it: internet browsing, word processing, e-mail, ripping MP3's, itunes; stuff like that. I'm looking at this laptop http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 8079752923 and wanted to know if anyone had any other suggestions. Also, I need the screen to be between 14 and 16 inches. Dell had one laptop in the local newspaper - Inspiron 15 for $499. I was impressed by the specs, though I can't remember them now...

Also, check Newegg for daily deals and free shipping offers. You might get better specs on the 'Egg than in a store for the same money.

Cool. Thanks. Unfortunately, the NewEgg laptops aren't matching up. I have a feeling that the Toshiba will give me the best bang for the buck.
