What do you think about the IBM Thinkpad Series?
I'm attaching some content on thier new features.

IBM is the leader in portable technology. Armed with the Active Protection System—an integrated motion sensor that monitors the system's hard drive to prevent some hard drive crashes when a fall occurs—the ThinkPad can lower support and help desk costs while keeping data safe.

While other vendors look for physical means to shock-protect their hard disks, IBM uses a combination of drives, firmware and software to accomplish a higher level of disk protection.

The T41 weighs 4.5 pounds and is a mere 1 inch thick but can carry as much as 2GB of synchronous dynamic RAM, and enterprises can choose a 20GB, 40GB or 60GB hard drive. For more details and a better explanation of benefits, check out http://www.ibm.com/thinkpad.

Seeing how IBM just recently sold off it's entire laptop division to some Chinese company, I'd give them a HELL NO

I have a T41 its really pretty nice. It has a bunch of cool features. Mine has the 30 gig, with 512 mb pc2700,ATI 7500 32mb(With omega drivers overclocked) and a backup of XP on a hidden partition, wireless built in,cdrw/dvd. I can play all kind of games on mine no problem, HL1&2 Unreal 1&2.

Yeh I really like the hard drive protection although sometimes it can get a little annoying though. The wireless go go very very far on mine, I credit that to the laptop an not really the access point since my other wireless devices cant go as far. Its a very solid laptop I just hate how its plain jane black like all of IBMs other laptops. If your thinking about buying it I would recomend it.

If you're looking to pick up a thinkpad on the cheap, now might be the time. :)

I still can't believe that IBM solf off the Thinkpad. I can see them selling off desktop pc's because of dwindling profit margins, but not the glorious Thinkpad! Oh well.

If they are making them in China maybe they can lower the price. HAHA Yeah right. They're nice alright but, you pay a premium.

To be honest, I'm not all that impressed with my A22m's build quality. Maybe the later models got better, but I would take long, hard look at Toshiba if I were you.
