Anyone using an unlocked phone with T-Mobile? I'm trying to figure out how to send AIM messages using the text-messages from my plan. All the software I find uses WiFi for AIM instead of text-messaging.

With a phone provided by T-Mobile, the software that does this is preinstalled.

I'm going to look into this, I've got an unlocked Treo 680 I'm using with T-Mobile and I'd love to send AIM messages using text message from my plan.

Now that you mention it, my old ass Samsung R225 came with AIM software that pulled it off.

You've got an unlocked iPhone on T-Mobile with no data plan?

The iPhone is next to useless without a data plan.

I wouldn't really consider iChat via SMS message as a data plan. :P

Yes, but it doesn't apply to me. :P

My original comment was off topic and not necessary.

Hey, at least I can admit it.
