I've been looking at getting a laptop for a while and I finally decided on the Asus M50SV-A1. It's almost perfect, except the keyboard, in some pictures the keyboard has a regular shaped enter key and in others it has that weird upside-down 'L' shape. Does anyone have this laptop and can tell me what kind of keyboard it has? I really don't like the weird shaped one as I find it's hard to type on. Any help or more information would be appreciated.
P.S. I'm from Canada, would that change anything?

I recently purchased an M50Sv-A1 and I love it. The pictures in this link are accurate: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=229282

The keyboard that you see on some websites I believe is used in the European version of this Asus computer. Those images with the odd shaped return key are not reflective of the keyboard used here in the U.S.

I hope this helps. :)

Asus M50Sv-A1
Intel 9300 Penryn Processor @ 2.5 Ghz
nVidia 9500GS GPU
4 Gig Memory
Hitachi 200Mb HD @ 7200rpm
Vista Ultimate 64 bit

Yeah, that really helps me a lot. I can't understand why they make two different keyboard styles for it.
If I may ask, where did you purchase your laptop? and is there anything else I should know about the laptop before I order it?

I purchased this laptop from XoticPC.com. They're great resellers, located in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Gentec in California, Geared2Play in New York, and ExcaliberPC are all resellers with good reputations.

The advantage of going with one of these smaller resellers is that you can customize the laptop to your specifications. I went with the maximum 4 gig of RAM so as to use Vista 64 ultimate. I also went with the faster 7200rpm hard drive.

Some of the resellers have this laptop on backorder, so check with them to see if there is a delay.

I think you'll enjoy the M50 as it has a good balance of features.

I really appreciate your help and information.
Yeah, I'm starting to think that I will enjoy this laptop, now I just need to decide if I want to go with the slower B1 variant but get a high def optical drive or just go for the speed of the A1.

I considered the B1, but decided that I didn't need a Blu-Ray drive. I did however want fast, fast, fast...so I went with the A1.

Yeah, I'll probably go with the A1, cheaper and faster. I don't really need Blu-Ray in a laptop because I'm going to put it in my destkop anyways.
