I was poking around for RAM for my laptop, I noticed Micron Origional has 256MB sticks of PC100, one says "Low-Density" the other doesen't say anything - I bought a stick the non-low stuff. Theyre both the same price. I've also seen "high-density" notebook RAM out there as well.
What's the difference/advantage of Low vs. High-density RAM?
low density = less memory per chip
high density = more memory per chip
lower density is more compatible on older systems.
there isn't really any advantage other than higher memory capacity(high density) per stick of ram
