has anyone here tried to upgrade the processor on a desktop cpu powered laptop?
I've opened it up to take a look and see how easy it would be to do in the event I burned out the chip. I've got a socket 370 Pentium 3 1000EB in a desktop replacement lappy. It appears though I need some kind of special device to take it out (or I could force it out with a screwdriver but that might a be a little harsh.
You'd be better off contacting your manufacturer and see if they require a special took to remove the processor and to find out if they can send one to you.
