I just got word through the grapevine that the next Clevo Desktop Replacement/Mobile Workstation Laptop will be the D900T (It looks like its replacing the D870P). It's not on Clevo's website yet, and the Clevo Resellers don't have any model information yet but I do know it'll be equipped with an ATI Mobility Radeon X600, and PCI Express. I'll see if I can squeeze more information out of my sources. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm a big fan of the 14 lb. Desktop replacement laptop, so I can't wait to see the specs on this monster.

Looks like it was Eurocom that spilled the beans on the specifications.

http://www.eurocom.com/products/future/ ... del_id=123

2 Hard Drives, 2 Optical Drives, 4 Memory Slots and a WUXGA Screen (1920x1200)

If Intel gets their shiz together and puts out the 64-bit Prescott, I'm replacing my 3+ year old Clevo 8500V with this badass.

this forum is run by PCTorque, who is one of the Sager resellers, but they have done a good job of being a forum, and not a redirector to the merchant. Excellent reviews and user feedback on these machines there. I'm licking my chops waiting for this beast.

I'd definitely buy it, but I'm waiting for a dual core 64-bit EE Prescott from Intel to go into it. So I probably won't get a new notebook for another year or so. But I suspect it'll be based on this new model.

Looks like the Clevo D900T was pushed back to September 30th, instead of the original September 14th release date, and here I was all ready to see what the pricing was going to be on this monster.

Also, lieberman corp, www.go-l.com is coming out with a high-end laptop with PCIE by the end of the month. Anyone have any ideas when Dell might get their hands on PCIE? ATI and Dell have been very buddy-buddy, especially since ATI gave them (still to this day) exclusive rights to incorporate the Radeon 9800 256mb. I want to buy a gaming/desktop replacement for college so I can wait 7-9 months if I have to, I just dont wanna buy AGP then miss out on the upgradeable PCIE.

I've called up Dell and Sony, but they won't talk about future models whatsoever, especially Sony.

Intel needs to get their ass in gear.

I want my 4.0Ghz, Dual Core, 64-bit Prescott EE with Hyper threading to jam into one of these new laptops.

They didn't just come out. We've had 7200 RPM 2.5" drives since Q2 2003.

Seagate has been working on 2.5" SATA drives since last year. Don't know if they're out yet.

DDR400 has been avaliable in laptops since Q4 2003, at least, avaliable in the monster desktop replacements I've been pricing out.

I'm thinking they're going to be between $3k and $4k with an 2MB L3 Extreme Edition priced around $5k.
