Maximum PC

Right now I have Tungsten E and happy about everything except for battery life. But I'm giving it to my wife and looking for a replacment.
I'm looking for something mostly for reading books and listening for MP3s occasionaly. It should be small with long battery life and good screen. I always been fan on Palm OS, but willing to jump to Pocket PC...
Don't care much about games and apps...

What would you recommend?

I've already checked out Dell AXIM (reviewed in last issue), but it's too big and seems that Dell support sux...

I was a big fan of the Toshiba e800 series, but after trying out Palm OS I was hooked.

I wasn't recommending it to you. but if I was getting another Palm, that's what I would look at.

If you are concerned with batt life, I would look at Palm devices. My T2 has about 3-4 hours always on use. It will store for weeks with no charge (possibly longer - don't know). It charges very fast (dead to full in 1.5 hours - normally, 15-20 minutes is all it takes to fill it up again). And when the battery does die I don't have the kinds of problems I experienced with ipaq.

If you want to run heavy apps - then Pocket PC would be better IMO. I don't have a use for them on my PDAs.

my grandpa has a sweet treo. its a phone, PDA w/ camera and everything. built in keyboard. its expensive but very nice.

Yeah my friend has it. I almost got it, but unfortunately screen resolution SUCKS I'm waiting for Treo 650 to come out, that would be a sweet piece of technology!
