Hi all. I'm currently working offshore on a ship for weeks at a time. We have satellite internet wi-fi and I would like to buy a gaming netbook for around $600 if that's possible. I've always built my own desktop PC's, but I've never owned a laptop, netbook, or tablet, so I'm very out of the loop as to what is available. I have no clue as to what constitutes a decent netbook video card, etc.
I don't need anything scorching hot as far as performance goes. I'd like something that will play Minecraft and Kerbal Space Program with a workable FPS. I'd like to watch Netflix and use the internet, too. A DVD player would be nice, but I'm not sure if netbooks even offer those. I'd be amenable to considering a laptop, also, but a smaller netbook would be preferable.
Perhaps a gaming netbook for this price isn't even possible, but I figured the MaximumPC forums would be a nice place to ask.
I appreciate any help you guys could offer.
