Tungsten T; hot sync fails and menu is greyed out, so cannot inspect settings.
What's next?

Is the Palm HotSync Manager running?

What version of the Hotsync Manager do you have installed?

no window on desktop
hotsync menu items greyed out; cannot access; pc reboot fails

Have you tried resetting the Palm?

Yeah, I tried a soft reset. Hey, you know what? I solved my own problem.
Some time ago I had had some pc software conflicts, so I ran msconfig.exe and removed most third party apps. from Startup. This included the HotSync app!! So when I restored it, the HotSync app was no longer greyed out and I synced fine!

So the problem wasn't even related to a Palm malfunction. I was the one who created it unknowingly!!

I did the same thing to mine, I just manually boot up the HotSync manager whenever I load up Palm Desktop
