I have a 250$ gift certificate to CompUSA. How would you suggest I spend it or how would you spend it (no i'm not giving it away). I was thinking a PSP or possibly upgrading my pc. I already have an mp3 player. I travel alot so keep that in mind.

2.4 Ghz P4
512 RAM
80 Gb
Geforce4 MX 440 (64Mb) -- Yeah, I know.
DVD RW

I don't really have additional $ to spend cause I just bought an Archos PMA400. Which, by the way is the coolest gadget ever.

Uh, yeah. At least the PSP has good graphics. Good games. Can access the Internet. Can play your movies for free (assuming you have a ginormous MemoryStick lying around). Oh yeah, did I forget to mention, it looks competent?

The DS looks and feels and works like a piece of silver shit. OK, I'll shut up now. But seriously, I don't get people who say the DS is great and the PSP sucks. Sure, Sony's proprietary crap. But can you browse the web and send IMs to anyone - even use VoIP - on a DS? Didn't think so. Now go hide before the Sony PR people set out to get you.

The Electric Blue color for Nintendo DS debuts in June and will become a permanent color in the DS palette, joining the original silver-and-black model, named Titanium. Nintendo DS is now more eye-catching than ever.

You can connect with a local wireless network of up to 16 players. The wireless range can be an incredible 30 to 100 feet and for some games, multiplayer requires just one Nintendo DS game card.

Future games may take advantage of the DS Wireless LAN connection for more multiplayer possibilities.

....yup

Are you being sarcastic? You'd better be. Get this. On the PSP you can browse the web anywhere there is a wireless network. You don't need a net of other PSPs, which the PSP will handle as well as regular wi-fi networks. And get this: The range of REAL wi-fi is 100-200 feet.

Multiplayer - PSP does it, DS does too.
Net IMing - both do.
Browsing the web? Since when can the DS do that?

Oh, I just noticed, you're from Howell. That explains everything.

With Nintendo DS, dual screens and touch-screen technology allow you to interact with games like never before. Wireless communication allows you to experience real-time multiplayer gameplay, while built-in PictoChat software gives you the power to draw, write and send messages wirelessly. Nintendo DS revolutionizes the way games are played.

Also, Two LCD screens offer one of the most groundbreaking gameplay advances ever developed.

Imagine the possibilities. In a racing game, you might see your own vehicle's perspective on one screen and an overall track view on the other. Soon, games could be created allowing you to play games on one screen while sending text messages on the other.

Each 3-inch screen can reproduce a true 3D view, with impressive 3D renderings that can surpass images displayed on the Nintendo 64. : )

....Whats wrong with Howell? Just because some people where auctioning off some KKK robes does not mean were all racists...I hope

The problem is, you're going to overpay for that x800xl at CompUSA compared to NewEgg (or others). So, your $250 isn't really going that far, and you're going to have to lay out from your pocket as well.

Get a PSP.

Considering how well iPods sell these days on eBay, buy an iPod mini and 50 bucks worth of accessories, and then sell them on eBay. You will at least make back all of your money, if not a profit as well. Then take your cash and spend it on anything you want at Newegg. The X800XL sounded like a good idea.

You could by $250 worth of stuff at CompUSA, keep the reciept. Then return them and take the Cash and put it in your bank accournt and buy stuff online. That is if CompUSA will give you cash back and not in store credit. I would call them and ask. Their site doesn't mention anything about it. Just cash, credit, and check purchasses.
