Maximum PC

Hi all, quick question.

I'm probably going to be buying myself a tablet before too long. I really like the look of the dell convertible. I've used Skype on my home computer for basic messaging, but no webcam for video. So what I'm wondering about is:

Is it possible to use my tablet as a Cell Phone by purchasing an Unlimited US & Canada Subscription? Like a normal phone, I need the ability for everyone to call me, not just skype users. I also need voicemail for missing calls, and though I don't text much, I would like texting capability. It seems to me that this is would all be possible with the Unlimited subscription for $3/month + $0.13/text and a Skypein number for $6/month but I wanted to confirm with someone who already does this.

I know that this cannot be used for emergency calls, but I believe that I can get a free cellphone for outbound emergency calls. Still doing research on that.

Edit: Has anyone found a picture of the built in ports on the Dell Convertible? Curious how far apart the USB ports are...
