Maximum PC

should i get the G73JH-X3? or the a3, or is there somthing better out there for under $2000, what i want for my next laptop is a super powerful computer that can handle anything i throw at it for under $2000 battery life is not an issue over 6gb ram prefereble and nothing less than i7 720qm and a 17" screen any suggestions?

No laptop does that. If you want that, get a desktop. Otherwise, the G73 is the closest thing you can get to that.

Anyone tell me why it is I can't get the HD display, and blu-ray at BBY? I can get it at Microcenter, but I don't have 0% financing with them.

Anyone know if the BBY version can be upgraded beyond 8gb ram? Or if I could trade out the display/dvd later?

I would recommend the G73JH-A1, as it has everything all other versions have plus blu-ray and 1TB storage rather than 640 or 500GB. And imo it's the best value of any laptop out there. As a matter of fact, I'm typing this now on its responsive keyboard. It can handle every game I've thrown at it with everything maxed out. CoD4 runs at about 70 fps on 1920x1080 and 4x AA. Even Crysis runs at around 20 fps at that res with everything maxed. I love it. As for where to get it, I'd recommend XoticPC, http://www.xoticpc.com/asus-g73jha1-order-p-2731.html. I bought mine from them, and I couldn't be happier with their service. With their free shipping promo, their price is very competitive. Also I've seen good prices at buy.com and tigerdirect. But whoever you get it from, I'd say get it. I spent months in research and I never found anything better for the price.
