Hi, my friend has asked me to help him replace a bad motherboard on his Inspiron 1100. The problem is that there seems to be two different part numbers for this model. A check on ebay shows p/n 05w610 and 09u769.

I took it apart but could not find any part number on the mobo.
(There was a number, most likely from the manufacturer-BDWOO LA-1452 Rev. 1.0)

Does anyone know if these two motherboards are interchangeable?
Or how I can find the propper part number for his particular maodel?

On the dell forums there seems to be the same question with no answer.
On person said that one was for pentium 4 and the other for celeron, but there are some mobos on ebay that say they work for both processors (which seems most likely).

Thank you,
Rictus

Acoording to the following links, the actual part number for the Inspiron 1100 Motherboard is N0932:

However, it looks like Dell had a lot of problems with that particular model:

Ask in Dell's forum you'll be able to find the exact info you need.
