How good are these laptops? Specifically the 4000LCi-XPP-60GB notebook.
My biggest beef with it is the tiny XGA screen. Seriously, that's technology from 1998 that should be obsolete now in laptops (with the exception of the 12" Powerbook). It's going to look really bad stretched accross a large 15" screen.
The processor is very good for the price and the battery is amazing. My laptop's battery takes about 8 to 12 hours to charge when it's off, so to have a 1.5 to 3 hour charge time is incrediable.
It's nice to see that they don't charge an extra $60 to $90 for Windows XP Pro.
The 3 in 1 card reader is a bit dated. A 4 in 1 card reader would be a bit more modern and would also be able to squeeze into that space (forget about a 7 in 1 reader though).
The Combo Drive is very good.
It'd be nice if you could get 512MB of DDR333 in one SODIMM instead of two so you'd have the option of upgrading later without having to pull anything out.
