hi i am wondering as a game developer particularly internet based games, what programing language was runescape coded in and what books do i need to learn to code on the same platform? :?:

Do you have any experience in general programming? Or any programming experience at all in a specific language?

From what I remember (haven't played in years), Runescape is coded in Java. I'm pretty sure it uses Java applets, in which you need to learn Java first for that.

where can i get a book for that? and no i dont have any general programming experience except for web programming. if it helps at all i know html and css 1/2 thanks

Personally, I would highly recommend This Book. This is the book I used to learn Java.

Keep in mind, everyone learns different, so this may not be good for you.

Then again, I'm not entirely sure Runescape uses Java to begin with.

Best word of advice, pick up a coding book and start learning.

You could always find a good C# book (I don't know any off the top of my head),. Once you learn C# you can make games using XNA.

I would recommend spending a few years programming before you even thing of making a game.
