I am 19 and am taking high school online. I am wanting to take computer science, and learn how to program. Just wondering if there is any thing i can do in high school to make it easier like take more classes or something.
also i have never tried programming and was wondering if there was a good beginners guide and program. thanks

Well, taking more classes isn't going to teach you programming really.

What you need to do is teach yourself a programming language (or find a class that offers it). As your first language, I would recommend C, C++, or Java personally.

Are you good at Math by chance?

WE have an entire section devoted to programming. Try reading the threads for beginners in there .. lots of 'where do I start' material for you.

High school: take every math course offered. Obviously, take CS classes if they are offered as well.

Ditch windows and learn linux. Use only linux at home. This will teach you more about computers that you could imagine and you'll start to learn about system administration, shell scripting, and all kinds of IT goodness.
