Hi,
This is the first time i post in this forum, to be honest, i have never read this forum before but it caught my attention. I have a situation, i enjoy playing with computers and have built 3 systems in less than 4 years. All of them gaming rigs since that is what i enjoy. I'm also a wood worker, i like to built stuff with my hands. My problem is that i'm a total idiot when it comes to software. I have a hard time understanding how to move files and such. I need you guys to recommend a good book that explains all those terms like INI, EXE, GIF, etc. This is going to be a Chritsmas present from my daughter. Just in case you are wondering how i loaded the OS on those computers, i have a friend who is good with software but a total idiot with hardware. We get along great :)

I would suggest the ALL-IN-ONE series for A+ Certification. I can't remember properly but I think the first 10 or 11 chapters in this book deal with hardware and the rest with software. I think there is about 24 chapters. I can't be for sure. It is a great book. Here is a link to what it looks like A+ Book
