So i passed the hardware side this morning. Proud of myself. I plan on taking the OS side next week.

Anyone think that one exam is harder then the other or are they about the same? Thanks.

They're about the same, at least back when I took the 2002/2003 version, you're taking the newly updated one with the three different paths. Might be a bit different.

I think that one of the new changes to it is that it includes questions regarding laptops. I'm also going to be taking the exams to get my A+ cert this month. Tell me how yours goes.

If you took the 2006 edition like I did last week there are two tests, A+ Essentials(Hardware and OS all in one) and three "Career Paths", you only need to take one of the three Path tests to get your cert.

I didnt take the newest A+ exam. I think the new one entails remote assistance and such.

For me the software one was harder, but that was for the 2002-2003 version

I passed my A+ last year, it wasn't too bad, I found that the hardware part was easier, mainly because if you think about it, hardware is hardware.. more or less it's changed over the years, but it works about the same. The software part, it asks you questions regarding the different flavors of OS and how to control functionality of each.. etc.

Just buff up on your common os'es and you'll be good.

Good luck
