 Post subject: wat should i do?

what should i do if i wanna create video games as a carrier, like programming, modeling, all of it im in high school now taking intro to comp sci and intro to comp programming, then next year ill be a senior and ill be taking advanced programming and or advanced comp sci, but what shoudl i do for college go to somewhere like Devry or go to a regular college and what major should i have there?

Personally, I'd say get the degree in Computer Science, and on the side teach yourself (or take courses in) 3D Studio Max, Maya, and Cinema 4D.

or you could try the other route and go to one of those trade schools (or "Entertainment Colleges" as I like to call them).

I have a buddy that develops 3D games and his recommendation is to learn to DirectX. OpenGL is all but dead except for PlayStation development. Everything else has gone DirectX, so if you're looking to get employed, then you'll have an easier time with DirectX on your resume rather than OpenGL.
