Did you know that the Education & Certification forum was not created yet at this time of their posts, August 28?

try "A+ Fast Pass" by David Groth . . . it assumes you already know the material and it's a nice, short review, like a refresher to help you study for the exam (as opposed to learning the material).

Ii like Mike Meyers books. I think he writes well.

I read the version that came out right before XP. so my third edition is outdated, but in terms of familiarizing myself with computers, it did the job that I needed.

I wasn't looking for certification, but I was looking to have a better understanding of computers. It worked. No longer am I intimidated by computers. With my monthly subscription to Maximum PC, and his book, I have basically everything I need to get by and use my computers.
