Well, consulting is basicly the first step to a potential client isnt it ?
They discribe the problem they have, giving as much information as possible to see if you can take the contract or the job.

I personally offer free consultation for home users aswell as corporations, it helps building a relationship with new customers, get them to trust you with there important data.

Thats my view of it.

Indeed, Local service.

Rarely repair customer pc over the phone, usually consultations to know if i can help, get the tools required to do the job right, besides I am not afraid to refer someone specialized.

Up to date, Face to face works for me.

Besides, I retail over the internet, rarely need to provide customer service, so its extra revenue with very little time.

Yes, with local service, you won't need to buy logos from a graphic designer . All you need to do is find a good font that represents your company (e.g. Futura.) When you are established, then buy a logo. The local Newspaper I work at just uses Times New Roman for their logo with a bevel and emboss(optional).

I'd feel better about all this if you could spell 'excellent.' :P Building a flow of work large enough to be able to sustain yourself, let alone a family, is a daunting task. That will be your biggest challenge.

I use a guy named Jeff Dibella at AOpen.

How do you get a hold of AOpen. i can't find any prices. when i click on a product it brings me to a million vendors which may or may not be selling the products i selected. whenever i e-mail them, it gets returned to me as a bad email.
