Seeing how I was the one that suggested this folder be created, I'd probably make it look like it's getting some use.

So, anyone take this test yet? have any experiences they'd like to share? Maxx, you wanna chime in and tell me how worthless this cert is?

Someone want to tell me if there is a point to this cert if one is already trying for MSCE 2003?

probably for those of us who don't give a rat's ass about any MS cert because we don't work in the computer industry, however our employers just want some basic proof that we know our way around workstation/server hardware and didn't bullshit on our resume.

Also if you have a server+ cert you don't have to take one of MS elective exams (I think)

So I went in an took the test today.

It's a really broad test that covers a lot of disaters recovery, multiprocessing, all flavors of SCSI and even one question on SATA, SCSI configurations, a bunch of RAID questions, a few Novell command line questions, some MS Active Directory questions. They pulled out questions on shit that wasn't even covered in the book I was using to review.

Anyway, passed it by only 95 points, but to CompTIA a pass is a pass.

ive had server+ since 2003...not worth much except if you add it to a bunch more to wow some IT hiring peeps. its basically A+ with a little Net+ added in.
