Maximum PC

I have just recently started reading MAXIMUMPC magazine and find it increadably stimulating. I am infatuated with writing programs in RPGIV, and am curious if anyone here can give me some advice on how to start a career as a programmer analyst. I am currently employeed with the Air Force working as an IMO and a network administrator. Taking online classes to recieve my Bachelor of Science in IT Management. Reading the forums that are already posted I have deduced that I would benifet from having my A+, Network +, and Security + certificates correct.

Any and all advice would be highly appreciated.
