Hey All!

I'm taking a Java programming class this fall semester. I know nothing about Java.

Does anyone know of a good site for the absolute beginner to look over? Or even the best book to get? I would like to have at least a little knowledge about Java before the class starts.

Thanks!
Fatman

If you check the Programmer's folder, you'll find that we have sticky threads that answer your question with links to popular resources for new coders.

Hey bud, I took Java this past year in the same position you're currently in. I'm going to try to stay active on the forums amidst the football, drumline practice, swen work, etc... I used Java for dummies and did some prereading. It gave me a huge advantage in the class!!! If you come up with any questions, I can try my best to help. Feel free to PM me or something with questions.
