Maximum PC

I am currently taking a computer animation course at my school. It's 3 periods a day so its pretty in depth. I do a lot of work on photoshop, maya, and flipbook but I really enjoy working in 3D. I've been looking around for collages but I don't really know what majors i should be looking. I would like to work on movies or video games. Its pretty tough work but I love doing it. So can any animators here tell me what you majored in? Also any additional information on the field would be appreciated, I understand what kind of work has to be done but very little beyond that.

I'm going for this aswell, the qualifications very depending on the company. Dreamworks ILM require you to have a degree in fine arts aswell as animation or 3d modeling training. A good school the hire from is the school of art and design in Pasadena CA
