im going to assume that is a NO to google.

try the bios

try jumper settings on the mobo

or, just spend 50$ and get a new mobo and cpu

Not worth a damn to really spend too much time doing this. A 266 clocked to 272 is still slow;)

I know we aren't all able to afford new PC's, but something WAY faster could be built with pretty easy to find parts. I bet you could piece together an AthlonXP system for under $150. After that, send that 266 to NASA...they're looking for spare parts.
