what is good air flow from a fan for OCing? im not too concerned with noise so any suggestions would be helpful.

you should actually want to improve on overall case cooling. that means good intake, and good exhaust.

it really depends on your application.

I am trying to get better overall cooling and that’s why I’m asking what is a good airflow rating for fans.
I know to have more exhaust then intake, and try to have fans up front.

Higher CFM = better. But usually higher cfm also = more noise.
This fan does 119 cfm @ 56.4 dBA.

So it's really a matter of getting the most cfm for your tolerable noise level, and the size of fans you can use based on your case.

Ex: Your case has 4 spots for fans. Front-120mm, side-80mm, top-92mm, back-92mm. Assume your case is under your desk.
I'd use:
Front - 120mm IN - 80cfm / 30 dBA
Side - 80mm IN - 48cfm / 30 dBA
Back - 92mm OUT - 119cfm / 56.4dBA
Top - 92mm OUT - 58.5cfm / 33 dBA

if my back fan slots were 80mm would it be easy to mod holes for 92mm?

Depends on the case.

I have used a 92mm fan in a space intended for an 80 by using some zip ties.

there is no top fan on my case so should i still have the side blowing in or out?

I'd have a low cfm fan blowing in. You want to ensure you're getting enough cool air onto/near your GPU and CPU coolers.

i figured something along those lines, but i was thinking about having too much air inside and not enough getting out. thanks for the input though
