Hey folks...
I'm planning out my first PC build and I have assembled a parts list that I'm pretty happy with (I think), and I'd like some advice/critique on where I should potentially upgrade or downgrade in relation to price to performance ratio.
I'm mostly using this PC to do two things. 1) Play games at the highest possible settings I can achieve for the money and 2) Just browse the internet and listen to music.
I already have a 1080p monitor so that part is taken care of, here's the rest of the build:
CPU Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz Quad-Core $199.99 Motherboard ASRock Z77 Pro3 ATX LGA1155 $102.55 Memory Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 $44.99 Storage Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM $88.98 Video Card Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 1GB $164.98 Case Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower $49.49 Power Supply Corsair 600W ATX12V $69.99 Optical Drive Samsung SH-222BB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer $14.99 Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (64-bit) $89.98
The only place I'm potentially considering an upgrade is in the GPU from the 6870 to the 6950...
Any thoughts on that?
Thanks in advance...
