Which one do you think has better cooling abilities?
My graphics card is getting pretty hot at 70c-80c

well if you are talking about your 5450, don't even bother; 70-80C is still considered in normal operating temps. Leave alone, move along, spend the $5 on a happy meal (or be healthy and get a bag of spinach; stir-fry with two gloves of crush, a pinch of salt and a bit of olive oil and you got a nice side dish.)

It would make more sense to tell us what card that is as well as what case you have. If your budget only includes one or the other, then I think you need to revise your financial situation over a trivial cost of a $4 case fan or a $7 tube of thermal paste...

People still recommend arctic silver? That stuff was dead as a high end paste when I first started posting here 3 years ago.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6835186038 This is what I use for low pressure applications (anything that isn't an AMD mounting system) and for high pressure I use IC Diamond 7 but I find it really isn't worth it.

For fans I like these http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLi ... ame=COUGAR which ever one fits.

It's still good, if it isn't broken, why change? I only use it still cause I have globs of the stuff and works pretty good. Yes its dated compared to the newer stuff out. IC diamond 7 is pretty nice, but honestly, proper application is more important than what kind of thermal paste you use and people would apply them very liberally.

I agree if you already have it then use it but if you are in the market for new stuff then get the best available (within reason). I also hear that prolimatech pk-1 is pretty good stuff.

I agree, if I didn't have the crazy amount of AC5 I'd get IC 7 since its 7 bucks for 1.5g which is good enough for like 10+ applications easily.

I've still got a tube of AS5 from like 5-6 years ago when CompUSA was going out of business.

Oh CompUSA, so sad they aren't around anymore. The only supplier in my immediate area that stocked up on BAWLS regularly.

I was able to get them for half that directly from CompUSA. Then when they went out of business, I bought up like 10 cases at the discounted $12 per 24 bottles. Lets just say I had "blue bawls for life"... lol

Glad I didn't have a mouth full of Mt Dew when I hit that quote or I would have spewed all over my keyboard.
