Ok ok ok I know I'm one to normally build my firebreathers personally, but I have the chance to actually go and buy one from one of the boutique PC builders, so just wanting opinions on the following two companies

Falcon Northwest

or

Velocity Micro

Both have good reps in the mag and stuff, just wouldn't mind a nice i5 system from either and thinking Sandy Bridge of course. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

PS. As far as use goes etc. doesn't matter, it's just be nice to add a nicely built rig to my collection and learn from it as far as wiring and whatnot goes.

I've heard good things about Falcon Northwest and Digital Storm but haven't heard about Velocity Micro before. I would go with whichever one is cheaper :D

Velocity Micro, Digital storm, and Falcon Northwest are all reputable and have been in business for I think 10+ years so from that stand point I would do a prelim build at each of the sites and see what you end up with cost/benefit analysis done for each then go with the winner.

imho falcon northwest. they are expensive but their water cooling is outstanding. great case and will custom paint anything you want... for the money :). good luck.

p.s. if you really want a system from any of the previous three mentioned you wont be sad. other than overpaying for what you could have done yourself hehe
