Due to a dead MB I had to venture out into my small crappy town in order to find some thermal compound so I could regain the use of my now fixed PC, here's the kicker, the local "PC repair" shop didn't have any that they would sell to me, so I went to Radio Shack.

"The Shack"(gags) only had one flavor and it made me smile, Arctic Silver Céramique at the cost of $6.95 after taxes for 2.5 grams of the stuff, now on to the purpose of this post...

When my video card was new and shiny it would idle at 34 - 38c(on a hot Kansas summer day), now I'm lucky to see 45c at idle, the card is 2 years old now and I'm starting to think that the stock thermal goop is as dry and flaky as an 80 year old Catholic nun, would it be worth it to try some Céramique on that bastage?

I can't really see a downside ... so .. yes! It is worth it. :)

Lemme see if I can find another tube of ICD7. I know I have my own tubes of ICD24, but I thought I just saw a tube of the 7 on the countertop. It was given to me, so I really need to just give it to you. Besides...you're a Kansan, so I gotta watch out for those in God's Country. SHE has cats though, so it may have moved. Weirder shit has happened.

Lemme find that, and when I do, please allow me to send it to you. There's enough there for about 5 CPU applications; so stick it on your CPU, GPU, and you've got about enough to finish out random applications like the NB/SB and maybe have one application left for 6mo down the road. Otherwise, just order the stuff...
It's $7 too, and they get it there pretty quick. I punched in 67356 for shipping guestimation though, and it came up blank...so I don't know what shipping costs.

With Céramique, I found it best to blend the stuff with AS3 (so that's obviously dated usage). Otherwise, I still like ICD7 for their price and performance, OCZ Freeze for bench testing, and Feser/TFCfor top end builds. ICD7 is for most of us. It's maximum, but affordable. (oh heck, TFC was about $20 on my last order...it's now $12)

Sure, I wouldn't mind trying something new but no worries if you can't find it.
