Hello all, I have a question about fan headers
I built a new computer, with this motherboard, Cooler and case. (Intel Core i5 3570K)
ASRock Z77 extreme4
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813157293Silverstone FT-02 (nice case!)
Noctua NH-D14 (that cooler is huge)
I plugged the Noctua fans (two included) into a y cable that was included (3pin) and plugged it into CPU Fan2 header. The fans will run at 700 when cpu is cold and spin up to 1300 or so when hot. This is the expected behavior
Unfortunatly I plug the top chasiss fan into the Chassis Fan1 header (3pin) and the fan never changes speed from 1300 rpm or so. I would like to slow this fan down, and the mother board says you can, but no matter what settings I use I can not slow it down.
Any thoughts?
The rest of the build is an msi 660ti video card, 250gb samsung sd, Corsair 650 gold modular power supply. I tossed in a cheap dvd burner and a 2tb samsung drive as well. I am loving this build so far and plan to overclock when I get bored
