Maximum PC

Well it seems like they are pins that have been put through a hole to hold the inside chassis (metal) to the outside chassis, i guess thats the word, the black part, and melted on the other side of the hole so the pins cant fall out.

Chumly sorta of described this in his mod when he took the inside out to paint it orange.
Josh, the reason I want to take it out is so I can paint it, also really good idea with the front grill, but if you are gonna do it put them on the inside and try to make the flush with the front.

Hmmm...I probably said that, but it wasn't in any part of my painting article. The Stacker can be field stripped to nothing with just a #2 phillips. But that's very true with melted pins. It's a cheap attachment method I've seen before and have melted them off with a soldering iron.

Dude...my mind's just slip'n! Sounds like me, just can't recall on what that was. But I doubt any newer case does this. Even the Chieftech/Antec/whatever's used a set of 6 clips you just pushed on to get the bezel off.

Anywho...if it comes to where you have to melt it off, then it'll melt back. There's usually some extra material on the backsides of pieces from the casting process. Scoop some off with the iron, then use it again to build the blob back. But this is just nasty and nothing to try to aim for. I AM a country boy at heart, and this is going back to my bailing wire days. If the post is fairly thick, then melt it off and try and get some small self-tapping screws to attach it back on.

My bailing wire these days is Epoxy. You can epoxy anything! (ok...you can't epoxy up holes in pistons)
