Remember back in day when I did a CraftStick Airplane PC? Well, even though a lot of people hated that project and wished I never did it. I still thought it was fun and wanted to revisit the idea. This time, however, I will make a case of craftsticks!

1st side is done

Image

I don't want the case to be any wider than a CD/DVD drive

Image

So I started by adding the lip on which the drive rests on

Image

Like so....

Image

Then I created the top and bottom of the case just wide enough

Image

Image

Second side is done

Image

I use extra drives to stand it up

Image

Then I make the lip wider

Image

And stand both sides up

Image

Then carefully add the top

Image

Next comes the bottom. Adding the PSU helps press down the sticks for the glue to dry

Image

The bowing sides will go away when the rest of the supports are added

Image

Time to build the supports. This will cover the area below the DVD drive

Image

Then the lip to the sides where the front will rest

Image

Once it's added, I rest drives on top to even out the glue

Image

After just four hours, I'm nearly done

Wow, very nice case. Get bored? lol. I like the idea, but definitely don't have the patience for all that. Bravo for the pictures!

Great work! I doubt at this point it needs to be said, but take your time. Don't want a heap of PC parts and Popsicle sticks.

So I measured out the back IO ports and PSU

Image

And started on it

Image

I then cut out some sticks for the front bottom to even it out

Image

Here's just a shot of what the inside looks like

Image

Next I framed out the CD drive. In this case beige really is the perfect color

Image

Look at the front closely and you'll see the "V" pattern I glued on to break up the normal look of the craft sticks

Image

I'm still working on the back though

I created a small bridge over the PSU to anchor the rest of the back to

Image

Then added some sticks to hold the PSU in place

Image

And I am done! Enjoy the rest.

Interesting case. Seems you have quite a bit of time on your hands. Good job, but not exactly anything that I'm expecting to throw on top of my desk. Cool tho, thanks for the pictures! Keep the cool mods coming! :D
