Modding the glossy screen on my laptop into a matte screen. I use my laptop in the car alot, and the glossy screen is annoying as hell when there's a reflection (which is about 99.99% of the time if it's daytime.) My dad wouldn't let me do it.

What about modding a glossy trackpad into a textured one?

Edit: i just tried putting non glossy scotch tape on it and it works perfectly!!!!

I've always thought about water-cooling a shuttle XPC. I don't meant a half-assed water-cooling kit. I'm talking a dual rad externally mounted on top, a nice video card with full-coverage block, Liang DDC pump (mounted somewhere), good CPU block, and a 5.25" reservoir. The optical drive would be an external eSATA or USB unit.

Now that I think about it, Swiftech's H20-220 Compact kit would fit perfectly.

I'll be back. I've gotta got order me a Shuttle XPC.

Anybody ever mod the LCD monitor INTO the side panel? I suppose it would have to be a server tower, just for the needed real estate for the size of the screen.

That, my friend, would be the epicest case in the whole entire universe and all that parallels it.

I seriously had that same idea. I was going to get a Laptop screen and put it into my Cooler Master Centurion C5 case. I couldn't really find the money to do it though. Those bare panels are expensive.

Reminds me of TheMurph's case for the 500 build off.

Yup, and we had it in the mag. It's somewhere in this section.
