That is an excellent piece of work!

I love the water-cooled electricals around the CPU socket - hottest area on the board, I'd love to get them some extra cooling. If only I could find those blocks online somewhere! (it's a future project anyhow)

It is one of the original Stackers by Coolermaster. There are a couple of pics of it by a desk. http://picasaweb.google.pl/plonka.lukas ... 6873551506

Malik, ignore me here as I'm not slandering you and your work at all. Kinda wanting to poke and prod the others a bit. In a Larry King way, "I'm curious".

Guys, why can't this be a normal build? Something we all do every time we build? Time, anxious, in a hurry? Money? What?

Just being a bit subjective here. Yes, it's clean and very good looking...but it's very normal to me. I don't feel I'm being elitist either. Build one rig a month, and they turn out clean too. The ones I want to keep around for years on end get special attention. But the monthly ones get that amount of attention too.

Almost 4 years ago did what I feel was some "helluva effort" with the same case...
http://www.maximumpc.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3367
...and it's just recently getting retired and replaced by a new long term build. Repsol is going to the easy chair, Ducatisti is alive and breathing fire.

I'm asking, because I fell off the map in here a loooong time ago. I had asked Manta what you guys want to know how to do so I can post some how-to type tutorials. But if you guys think it's too hard or something, it's not worth the time. Sorry, I'm really not trying to be rude, but trying to find the pulse. Would you want to learn everything you need to do this on every build, is it not worth the time, too much money, or just don't have patience?

It can all be shown, and every thing you put out will be pretty and clean. Sorry for stepping on the thread, but this was an ideal time and place to point out others are willing to help. I'll be asking formally in a poll this weekend.

Time is relative, patience breeds quality. Knowledge is free, parts are expensive.

Chumly, your link showed an outstanding effort too. The thing that seems to set Maliks apart from most is the desire to make something as perfect as it can be (thus the several projects and constant refinements).

I too am building a system and would of course appreciate any guidance you could provide. My goal has been set with Malik's creations and the first attempt will not have the compression fittings nor the exotic backplates etc.

I too want to take a longer range approach improving as I learn new a better methods. This is my first fluid cooling build so am open to top builders suggestions/ideas etc.

Sorry, I didn't mean to parallel the two. That link was just a case getting painted. That's why it wasn't a how-to or anyhting like that...just showing what is involved. At the end, everyone should have said "time". In that era, the $1,000 paintjobs were being largely questioned. When you ask an hourly person to do your work you could do much cheaper, then time is not paid for.

1 of 100 other steps. It's been 4 years of constant perfection. That's the Excessive Compulsive setting in, but I'd met half way and settle to see other taking a month to build a rig. Drive stealthing the hard way (Audio jacks to CD eject buttons), fitting wire and hiding them, how to solder...it all added up.

People like Malik can add obvious talent to the forums here, and to Manta's Mod Shop. Not for bragging (which he really should do by default) but to get you guys pumped up and understanding you can have all this too. It's really not expensive to get your plans completed. Add something? That's a given! Cut something out seems to be more common. Complexity seems to not last as long as the simple.
-----------------------------------
Malik, what are you going to use between the Aluminum and the board as a suspension? There's some foamy craft paper I've grown to love, and would be really perfect in there.

Who CNC'd that for you? Was it under $30?

Mouse pad...never thought of that! Too obvious, so simple. Great :D

$40 isn't bad at all. Are you in Russia or Yugo by chance? Just saw the paper, and wondered if we could employ your buddy.

Thank you friend! Sorry we can't use him...looks good. I'm new to my area here in the states, so I'll have to dig around and see if I can find a CNC guy for the members.

Anyone have a spare $5K laying around? Free CNC for life if you give it to me!

That case looks amazing, very nice build. But what is the point of those backplates? I mean nobody ever sees them right? It's a nice touch, and adds to the style of the build, but only when the mobo is out.
