Some of these might take a little more than 5 minutes but, ohh well.
#1 Easy drive stealthing

This one is free for the most part. Take your plastic (or metal) drive bay cover and spray paint it the color of your choice. An simply tape it with double sided stick tape onto the face of your cd rom drive. How do I open my drive you ask? If you press the cover your drive will usually open, if it dosen't, some dremmeling may be needed.

#2 Better air flow

All as you need for this one is some heavy duty wire cutters for this one. Have you ever noticed the grills built into your case where you put case fans? These probably are some kinda like safety mechanism to keep children from sticking there fingers in the fan (or to save cat whiskers  ) Well with your cutter simply snip the edges up till it pops off. And if you like, you can smooth the jagged edges with a dremel.

#3 Better cpu temperatures

This will only lower your cpu temperature my 2-3 degrees Fahrenheit, but that is better now isn't it. Take the underside of your heat sink with about 800 grit sandpaper and keep the paper moving in one direction for a few minuets. just to rough it up a little. Then take some polish (i will post a link for the right type soon, or if you have any suggestions) and polish until you get a mirror like finish. This will help heat transfer.

I would post pix if had a working digital camera

:x

Yes.

Take off the current case badge you've got, get this and stick it where the old case badge was. Bam! 5 minute (1%) case mod. :D

Don't be a downer, at least he's not hijacking the thread. I don't know that there's going to be a plethora of 5 minute mods, so take what you can get ;)
