I've been meaning to do another demon/devil project ever since I sold my Paradise Lost case. So here we start again.

I bought a human spine prop and a devil skull to mount on an old Dell. 1st I attached the base of the spine to the bottom of the right side.

Image

I just used a nut to hold it on the reverse side.

Image

Later, you won't be able to see this.

Image

These cool needle loop looking things actually came with the spine. They held the tail bone to the hips which I removed.

Image

I used them on the right panel to aid in holding down the spine.

Image

I used a little wire to tie it down

Image

Image

Then I screwed down the top.

Image

Image

Then just for show (because I'm not quite ready) I added the skull.

As of right now it's just a case mod. If I start thinking of specs, I'll get distracted.

That's frickin cool. I'm thinking black for the exterior paint...

It would be funny if you named this one the "Dell from Hell", with a big dell logo in the skull's mouth.

There will be a little delay as I wait for more "parts" to arrive.

That's a hand...

I think I'll probably have another give away before Halloween for the human skull and all the bones I'm not using.

This is what I have in mind for the windowed left panel.

Image

What do you think about the window, #1

or #2

Hard to decide, I think Window 1 if you are only going to have standard computer insides.

However, if by chance you were thinking of maybe placing some Skeletal Ribs inside the Case then Window 2 would make it feel more like you were looking into the belly of the beast (persay).

I'd say to do more of a random-curve cutout, and have etch the window to look like "a rib-cage being shown from the outside".

Alright, I had a nearly new can of expanding foam, but it was clogged. I gently used a drill to punch a small hole, but it went all the way in!! The pressure BLEW and sprayed everywhere!

Image

I added the foam to the base of the spine to make it appear as though the spine is barely poking through. This effect also covers up the support pins and rivets.

Image

Image

Image

Here's what it looks like when you add black and red to the foam. LET THE FOAM CURE BEFORE PAINTING. Otherwise it'll dissolve!

There's a lot to be done. The paint is a first coat. When done it will look like "cooling lava", some parts will be black, some will be red. Please don't judge too harshly as I've just begun.

I think I may make a non-specific shaped window like this:
