What was the mcd rating on the blue LED you used to replace the one in your MX mouse? I have a choice between 6000mcd 5mm ULTRA BRIGHT Blue LED or 4000mcd ones.

TIA,
Bill

i believe it was 4000, it's just a cheapy that i bought at radio shack. u can barely even see it when the mouse is in "idle" mode, and even when the mouse is in use, it's not really all that bright.

Any difference in the quality of your mousing, after changing from a red to a blue LED?

Does ANYBODY know what the original spec is on the MX700 LED?

Oh, and did your battery life get extended? :)

TIA,
Bill

sorry, i dont have an MX mouse, i just saw that, i just have the cheap lil $20 logitech from wal-mart, mousing wasnt much different after i did the mod, but it's not the greatest now, but i dont know if it's cuz of the led, or cuz my wife sucked the cord for it up in the vacuum and ripped it in 1/2 and i had to replace it by switching the cords with an old intellimouse cord which had a different pin layout that i had to change around and i did a piss poor job. but im leaning more towards the cord ordeal.
