Hmph, Id expect less stressful behavior from a Mod of such a prestigious website :P Please re-read my post, I think he's got a great setup, I was just stating a view of mine/joking around - I never said my pc was the best(or amazing for that matter) - there are far greater out there, I could walk a few miles and find a few people with pc's greater than mine. Also your assumption based on trolling my posts was incorrect, I'm 17 and if you want you could hit me up on MSN (Spartan117chris@aol.com) and I could get you some pics of the prototype sticker on the back of the laptop - despite the laptop bit being COMPLETELY non-related to this topic - the series was released less than a year ago and it wasn't that great compared to the voodoo series :)

Anyways, sorry to cause such a drag, I'm sure these people would like to get back to looking at some workstations so lets get BOT. :)

My current station:

alrighty, thanks BigT.
Today I actually took the time to bring out a tripod, and man the pics are great! I'll also show off my new laptop and new G11 and G5. :D
Image
Using a tripod let me turn flash off, which made an enormous difference in the quality of the pics.

New Laptop
1.9Ghz Turion64 X2
2x1GB DDR2 667
Radeon X1200
160GB 5400RPM SATA HDD
8X DVD+RW Drive
Ubuntu 9.04 (Gnome)/Windows XP Home Edition (came with Vista but this budget lappy was SLOW in Vista, so I decided to use my spare XP Home copy)
15.4" 1280x800 Screen
Dolby Sound Room speaker system. This thing sounds great!
Also has a fingerprint scanner... nice little gagdet
An awesome deal For $250. :D
Image
My awesome new mouse/keyboard. Pretty.
Image
Even cooler looking in teh darck!

My Desktop, showing off the new Xiggy Dark Knight.

This is pretty much my final setup until Christmas, where I've been begging my mom for a 22" monitor. Usually I do this, and just strike a deal with them- just one very nice thing instead of a bunch of junk.

Why did you remove the housing and fan from the GPU? Is the current fix that you have there, a better cooling solution?

BTW I dig the orange glow. Very nice! :)

Thats on my old 8800GT where the fan died and instead of shelling out for a AM cooler i modded my owne, works great and is dead silent

I got sick off the blue in my room and licked the red/orange look so i decided to go with that i think it looks pretty good.

send me your old G9!!!!!! :P
Yeah, I love my G5. Wonderful mouse. If you've ever experienced the MX500 series of mice, my friend is still riding with an old MX518, and the G5 feels like a super souped-up version. Same nice ergonomics, but much more precise and responsive tracking, more options, and a nicer scroll wheel. oh yeah, and I love the weight adjustement. Since you own a G9, I need not explain why it's so helpful.

no it doesn't. But I've never had any gripes about its cover. Never ever gets sweaty (my old plastic mouse would get very disgusting after long sessions), has good grip... enlighten me about how these interchangable covers work.

They just pop right off and onto the mouse, one is had a grip type texture and is smaller with more responsive side buttons, the other is bigger more comfy and had bigger but not as responsive side buttons.

The G5 is a stellar mouse; I've never had a single issue with it. I have the 1st edition though, with only one thumb button. I think having the two buttons would just make me love this mouse even more.

I have a G7 as well, but it died like every other G7 and wasn't worth the price of admission.

I think that is for the fan that is leaning against his video card.
