It's been almost a month since I built my custom PC, and the other day I was wondering what I could add in the mean time till I get enough money to upgrade my video card. Then it hit me; why not make my computer quieter. It's not terribly loud, but making it a little quieter couldn’t hurt. So I turn to Maximum PC for help on reducing the noise of my computer. Below are the specs of my new machine, so if you guys have any ideas I’d appreciate it.

120mm case fans. You probably won't need them, but they make rubber grommets for mounting hard drives, as well as silica gasktes for dampening the vibration of fans.

Using sound dampening material works, but the stuff retains a bit of heat.

Is your power supply fan louder than everything else?

Is it a workstation? I can't figure out why you've only got a GeForce 3 in there...
