My thoughts:

First, that is a good little article. I'd almost like to make a poll to see if this has happened to anyone. I only have built 2 systems with CCT's, and have not ran into this, but I know it's completely possible. After reading that and hearing more and more of this happening, I'm honostly thinking about ripping them out. Which also brings up...

...my lack of even liking them anymore. They had their time, and I'm hoping it's over soon. I put a sound activated blue one in a rig about 2 years ago just to see what all the fuss was about. Well, the sound part being annoying as all get-out aside, I hardly have it on anyway. My second one was just to get a UV thing going on, but again leave it off anyway.

I don't like my PC's to glow anymore, and probably have felt that way for about a year. The "bling" phase hit the scenes and quickly made me feel sick to my stomach even seeing an LED or CCT. It's all been done now, and just hope we, as a whole, can start building more tasteful PC's without having to add strobe lights to get attention. I'm feeling more, ummm, "classy" in my old age ;)

Seeing CCT's now just reminds me of the cars that had them tucked in their frames over 10 years ago...then the fad hit and I ran out of insults to throw at these things. That they're still around leads me to wonder "why?". It's not original by any means, and I'd rather have a machine that speaks for itself (I'll try to not talk about "posing"). But it still translates to my feelings in PC modding. It's been done. If I want to stand out, it's going to take more than a $9 rod of light.

Now that they're blowing up, it should help in getting rid of themselves. Darwin must be dabbling in electronics these days ;)

I will learn not to leech table breaking images. The next time I post a table breaking image or leech bandwidth, I will be banned.

Yes a cct did that

actually, the inverter did, which is kinda scary, cuz A LOT of premade mods come with inverters now, r those also dangerous?

I wouldn't be sorry about the size as much as you should be sorry for the bandwidth theft against casemodgod.com. Please link to the image or host the image on YOUR OWN space.

Just so you know:

No images over 640 pix (and 600 is best) wide. Don't post images that are on another site (unless its your own or you have permission). It steals bandwith from them.

Instead:
Post a link to the image (like it is now), or host the image yourself. Check out Photobucket.com if you have not already. Thats what I use.

oh yeah - if you photobucket, be sure to credit the image (unless its yours) best you can when you post.

If you need help getting images to fit on photobucket - just ask.

Manta

In addition to Photobucket, I extend use of my own gallery that I host for members to use. It is www.gallery.americompx.net

Any electrical device with high potential exchanges, then made very cheaply for mass production, stands a very good chance of self-distruction.

Your hard drives should of been the least of your worries. The chemicals exploading, burning you house down. Possible injuring your famlie. $4 bright lights arent worth that.
