Maximum PC

Is there some type of spray or something that can make plastic really reflective? Sort of like chromish, I have a case with plastic over aluminum (alien preadtor) and I was wondering if there is something I can use to polish it up.

Not sure if you can polish it enough to make it more reflective, but Meguiars makes a plastic cleaner and plastic polish. Meguiars manufactures professional grade polishes and waxes highly used in auto body shops, these particular polishes were designed for plexiglass, lexan; motorcycle and snowmobile helmets and faceshields, etc. I used to use them to take scratches out of CDs.

Folks who model (scale cars, planes, etc...) use future floor wax/polish. You might try it in a hard to see area and see how it works. If it does, let me know. In fact, if you get anything that works, let me know.

These people are the king of online plastic shopping. If you need anything just look on their site. I've used the Novus Plastic Polishes and it takes a lot of time but it does work just fine. I got some Lint-Free WypAll sheets from them and used those to buff the plastic.

Whoe, I was about to suggest Novus2 as well, then noticed Obsidian also has used it.

Novus2 is really nice and I keep some around all the time. There's also Novus3 that gets scratches out, but still needs Novus2 to finish up and make it shine again.

Tap looks like a good site too. Nice fiberglass tools...I wants them.

But are those Alienware cases not painted? I think they're painted plastic aren't they?

i think krylon has a new line of "bonds to plastic" paint that may suit your needs.

In that case, use normal car posish I'd think. Something like the simple wax shop stuff. Plastic polish may actually harm the finish.

I used 'rust-o-leum' clear lacquer finish (4-5 coats) on my latest laptop, see post is Modder's section... very reflective.....
now if you want a mirror finish, like chrome, there are specialty 'chome' paints out there, but you need a good primer, rust-o-leum makes a specific 'plastic primer' just for plastics so any paint can adhere to it, most people prefer Krylon, but I am sure they have not used the rust-o-lem stuff, they would switch if they did...

I have an Alien predator too. I live in some neck o' the woods, never see cool stuff in shops, but I use Armor All plastic shine for cars. By the time I applyied the third coat, I could read the label of my pack o' smokes from the case's reflection. Don't spray it directly, though. Spray it to piece of cloth and then buff the case. I'm still looking for a better alternative.
