drive stealthing is a good start, dont need any advanced tools or materials. the only thing is that its useless if you have a door. after you do something like drive stealthing then i'd try installing a blow hole, then after that a case window.

Drive stealthing is just taking a spare bay cover and putting it on your optical's tray. So, when it's closed, it looks like there's nothing there.

Here's my "hard" method:

But it really doesn't go into how to do the basic stealthing. There's another tutorial I'm hunting for that someone else did. But my tut there should give you an idea on what it is.

By the side window comment, I believe they were thinking you didn't have one already. If you have a window, then you can do a quick mod by adding a fan or something creatively. It could be a simple as cutting a round hole and mounting a fan to it, or dremeling out a nice design as a grill, then mounting the fan. If you don't have a window, then make one! It's not quick and easy, but it's fairly common.

I think the cheapest mod you can do is clean up your wires. You could add all the bling in the world, and a crummy wiring job will ruin it all. A trip to Fry's and $25 got me all the stuff to do a good wiring job. You can get the same stuff for about the same with a kit from FrozenCPU. Tutorial comming soon!
