No, it's not a shower curtain cut and fit to keyboard.

taking my newest keyboard out of the box it arrived in I realized my keyboard deserves a mod hardtop....

simply put.......a bastardization of a laptop.......with lid that contains a number of mods in addition to a miniture display that I'm custom fitting to my keyboard....
items to be contained in keyboard hardtop dustcover
1....a 5"x8" lcd display
2....microphone
3....port for headphone
4....pen holder
5....post-it paper holder
6....vid-cam
7...another display for monitoring over-clocking....
8....ports for game controls to be plugged in....joystick,wheel,pad
9...slot to dock my PDA
10...and if possible to fit in....memory card reader

keyboard cover to clamp to keyboard with top that hinges up like a laptop monitor.......black plastic with theme of black and chrome dashboard dashboard

Any suggestions on things to add or delete or places to get parts

keyboard is 18 inches wide from left to right
and is 7 inches from front to back

keyboard cover I'm building is 21 inches wide from left to right
and 10 inches from front to back. to cover keyboard

thickness of keyboard cover and it's weight are the primary issues...reason I'm asking suggestions for sites to get parts....I'm aiming for a thinkness of 1.5 to 2 inches for the panel that will cover keyboard and lift up like the monitor on a laptop PC(not including thickness to cover keyboard and be flush with table top........

My keyboard is on a desktop and monitor is on platform that is about 10 inches above surface keyboard is set upon.......the keyboard cover when raised and functioning will fill the gap in space betwee keyboard and monitor
