I was thinking of modding my case for something that would run a lot cooler. But the problem is that I don't have too much $$$... Are there any ideas for something that could run cooler and look nicer? I have a budget of $120 so any help would be appreciated. BTW I will be getting pictures up of my PC in a couple minutes..

Notice the rat's nest... That may be a BIG problem...

Any ideas on how to change the bezel colors to match my case?

#1
Do you have a way of recording your current temps (Like MBM?). You will need a base line for camparing later.

#2
Yes - get those cables under control. Look at tieng them up, may be get some wiring harness wrap (I think at an automotive store - comes in colors) and replacing the ribbon cables with rounded ones.

#3
Have you used AS on your HSF? Have you considered a differetn HSF?

#4
Others will give you fan ideas for modding.

#5
Often, if you are careful, the bezels will come off of drives for painting. I suggest you stick with black - as silver is hard to paint well.

Nice Case :)

Switch to rounded IDE cables that will help improve air flow, and tie up the lose wires. I would add a fan to the top blowing hot air out.

Ok so first purchase: rounded cables.

What will I need to put fan on the top to blow out air? (Sorry I am not very good with PC modding)

Ok Temperatures for my PC are

53 C Proc. Zone
39 C Zone 1
43 C Zone 2 (Guessing this is the rat's nest area)

Here is what I got so far:
1. Rounded Cables
2. Cable sleeving
3. Fan on top sucking out hot air

1 and 2 I will definently do, just need to see if #3 will be worth it

I also have a superlanboy (still empty  )(saving for the parts), i sandblasted a skull into the side window (as seen in the "etching" topic), also im going to replace that fan cover in the bottom front with some sort of design(no idea what yet) (as seen in the "stainless steel" topic), thats what i intend to do, im going to the store(to buy aluminum) in the next couple of days and going to barrow a dremel from my boss, then make a plate like design then make a bracket to be held on by the fan screews(so i can make the cover bigger than the fan to fill that whole area that the bluet thing takes up)

First, see what you can do with your IDE cables there. Since you're on a budget, try everything you can before purchasing anything. Intelligently snaking it through your case is cost effective and imo easy.

I'd also try to untangle all those power leads. THAT'S the big rat nest I see there. Tucking it out of the way is pretty much self explanatory and easy peasy.

As for the blow hole question, you'd need to, well, follow this guide.

listen to this temp. change in late night wiring:

40 C Proc. Zone
28 C Zone 1
32 C Zone 2

Plus it looks a TON better. I am still going to get wire sleeves and rounded cables.

As with OCnoob, try playing with the wires for now and worry about the IDE's later. It's free, and looks to be the major culprit here. You can get away with nicely folded IDE ribbons that can look better than rounded cables that can't be routed all that easily...they're just there.

I have the Super Lasnboy also, one thing u can do is turn the HD around where the power cable and IDE cable are not showing on the side.

what to do with that rat's nest...

move your top drive down one slot, and shove all those wires from the rats nest above the drive. it gets all those wires away from the proc, allows more airflow, but, it takes up a slot.

I did this and my temps dropped about 4 degrees (C'). course, this also leaves more room for a water cooler when the need arises for me.
