...paint or powdercoat them. They could be plastic too. How about plastic with embeded LEDs? They might take on a translucent-type glow.

the fan behing it will be led(blue) and i picked up a piece of aluminum to day now i just need a pattern and a dremel

Just a word on aluminum too...it's not just soft, it's SOFT. It'll load up your media, so becareful of this as it'll unbalance the disc (if you're cutting it) and will almost always shatter. If it starts to rumble, give it a quick change. The discs come in that tube, and there's about 25 in there...so use 'em up.

I like using the sanding drum to eat it away if possible instead of cutting with the disc. But, sometimes it just cuts like butter. Must be the type of Alloy they use that makes the difference.
